Some or most of you might be familiar with the following accomplishment by one of the best poker players in town: That’s turning $0 into $10K.

Do you guys know who tried to do this? Well, without money to begin, he did not have any other option but to play freerolls. Initially, he gained one or two dollars, but rapidly lost them and then had to begin again.

EPT Grand Final Moves to Madrid

The European Poker Tour’s (EPT) Grand Final tournament will no longer be able to provide poker players with a great excuse to visit Monte Carlo. After six years of hosting the event, Monte Carlo has been replaced as the venue for one of Europe’s biggest annual tournaments. Madrid, Spain will be the new home of the EPT Grand Final.

The Casino Gran Madrid will serve as host for this year’s €10,600 buy-in event which runs from May 7th to 12th. EPT CEO John Duthie said the tour, “wanted somewhere new, dynamic, and inspiring and knew that Madrid would tick all the boxes for the traveling poker player, regardless of age or desires.”

Even More Good News For Online Bingo Players in 2011 !

There will be even more good news for online bingo players this year. Bingo providers are listening to players and are acting accordingly. In addition land based bingo players in the UK will also benefit from new allies in Parliament. Bingo supporters in Parliament have formed the All Party Parliamentary Group on Bingo (APPG) and are seeking to change government policies that have pressured the land based bingo industry. The group of lawmakers is trying to make the tax burden for bingo more equitable and in line with taxation on other kinds of gambling. Currently bingo halls pay the highest taxes of any gambling establishments and the policy has caused many well established bingo halls to close.
