Time flies, eh?

Hard to believe that 2012 is around the corner, but I’m kinda glad that 2011 is over. This year was one of the roughest, saddest, and most excruciating that I experienced since I ventured into the poker world. I can only be optimistic about the future, because it can’t get any worse… right?

I’m burned out beyond belief. It’s definitely time for me to take an extended break. I need some time to unplug and write for a while. Full post…

Back to work

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and got over the New Year without too bad a hangover.

I must admit to being a bit of a Christmas grouch, although I hide it well enough and the feast of sport on over the holiday keeps me someway sane.

It’s back to work this week. Starting on Monday night with the fantastic $10,000 added Festive Frenzy tournament on Boylepoker.

It didn’t work out too well for me as my AK failed to dog Aces early on I’m sure most of you would have qualified for this non-direct buy in event already it was a fantastic offer given the current climate not many online rooms are prepared to add $10k to any events these days!

Tomorrow night I’ll be at the City West for the WPT Ireland.

Michael Gathy Wins Belgian Poker Series Grand Final 2011

Michael Gathy has won the Belgian Poker Series Grand Final 2011, after defeating a field of 538 players on his way to lifting the title, and collecting the €175,000 ($233,645) first place prize.

The €1,700 buy-in Grand Final took place in the city of Namur, the capital of the province of Wallonia. It also managed to attract a vast field from 32 different nations, all looking to share in the €749,972 ($1,001,298) prize pool.

Andy Lee Wins Star City Poker Series Main Event

This previous week has been a busy one at Sydney’s Star City casino, where the city has been host to the Star City Summer Poker Series. Diversifying the annual series with a range of alternative events, Star City has put on Mixed Holdem, Pot Limit Omaha, and Teams Events to name a few.
