Bobby Oboodi Rides Rush To WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship

Riding a tremendous rush that extended over the final two days of the tournament, Bobby Oboodi captured the championship early Saturday morning of the World Poker Tour’s latest stop at the Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City, NJ.

Coming to the final table on Friday afternoon, Oboodi held a slim 60,000 chip lead over veteran grinder Fred Goldberg. High stakes Golf High Stakes Poker

Which Irish WSOP bracelet winner has lost over half of his Vintage car collection (he had 5 to start with) to another bracelet winning motor enthusiast?

The monthly high stakes golf games are played over two legs on both players home courses. The lowest gross score over the two days, is declared winner. The games have been going on for over six months and our hero has lost 4/6 meeting with the other two being ties.

So far, the winning player has added a Classic Merc, a 1951 Bentley VI and a 1950 Cadillac DeVille to his swelling car collection. He is currently driving his wife’s 6-year-old Opel Vectra. Full post…

Adele, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne to perform at MTV Video Music Awards

Los Angeles, CA, United States (Celebrity News Service) – The first set of performers have been announced for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, which is only a month away. The first stars confirmed to take the stage are Adele, Chris Brown, and Lil Wayne.

Adele will perform on the VMA stage for the very first time. She earned no less than seven nominations for her “Rolling in the Deep” video, including Best Female Artist, Best Pop Video, and Video of the Year.

Brown will perform at the VMAs for a second time. He last hit the stage with a Michael Jackson-inspired performance of his single “Kiss Kiss” back in 2007.

MTV to air rare Amy Winehouse concert as tribute

Los Angeles, CA, United States (Celebrity News Service) – In celebration of the life and music of Amy Winehouse, MTV is airing a rare concert special that hasn’t been aired on the network since 2007.

Originally part of a music series titled “45th at Night,” Winehouse was on the cusp of stardom when she performed some of her biggest hits in MTV’s studios years ago.
